FAQs
When should I start getting my puppy groomed?
As soon as your puppy is fully up to date on their vaccinations, it’s best to begin grooming right away. Early exposure helps them become comfortable with bathing, blow drying, nail trimming, and handling. Starting young ensures they are properly acclimated, making grooming a positive, stress-free experience throughout their life.
How often should my dog be groomed?
Most dogs need grooming every 2–5 weeks. The exact frequency depends on breed, coat type, and how often they’re brushed at home between grooms. Regular appointments prevent matting, keep the coat healthy, and help your dog stay comfortable year-round.
Do you take walk-ins?
No, SPOT srq Dog Grooming is by appointment only. This ensures each dog receives one-on-one attention in a calm, cage-free environment.
Do you groom large dogs?
No, we specialize in dogs under 45 lbs. This policy keeps grooming safer and more manageable for the dogs and for the groomer.
Are you cage-free?
Yes. We are 100% cage-free. Each appointment is scheduled individually so your pup is groomed start-to-finish without being crated.
How long does a grooming appointment take?
Most appointments last 1–2 hours, depending on coat type, condition, and service requested.
What grooming services do you offer?
We provide full-service grooming, bath and blow dry, nail trimming and grinding, ear cleaning, teeth brushing, anal gland expression, de-shedding treatments, and specialty add-ons.
Do you use special grooming products?
Yes. We use only premium shampoos and conditioners, and can adjust products for sensitive skin, allergies, or specific coat needs.
What if my dog is nervous or anxious?
That’s exactly why our salon is designed to be one-on-one and cage-free. By keeping the environment quiet and stress-free, nervous dogs settle in quickly and have a much more pleasant experience.
